STAGES OF CHIROPRACTIC CARE
The aim with all our patients who present to us with a specific problem is to firstly, alleviate any symptom they are suffering with, and secondly, correct the cause of their problems to prevent any future reoccurrences. For this reason, we split patient care into three different phases. These include:

Phase 1: Initial Intensive care

The initial intensive care phase is the first phase of treatment, during which the focus is on providing intensive care to address the patient's condition and symptoms. This phase typically involves more frequent visits to the chiropractor, as well as a variety of treatments and therapies designed to address the patient's specific needs. Your Chiropractor will give you advice on how to prevent this from reoccurring and how to manage it in the meantime.
The goal is to:
-
Reduce pain or symptoms
-
Reduce muscle spasms
-
Increase movement and comfort

Phase 2: Corrective Care

The corrective care phase refers to the phase of treatment that follows the initial intensive care phase. During this phase, the focus shifts from providing intensive care to address the patient's condition and symptoms, to providing ongoing care to maintain the improvements achieved during the initial phase and correcting the problem.
During this phase, your visits to the chiropractor will reduce, and you will be prescribed specific corrective exercises to eradicate the cause of your original problem. Specific advice will be provided on lifestyle habits in order to maximise the results you achieve.
The goal is to:
-
Correct the cause of the initial complaint
-
Increase Flexibility and mobility
-
Strengthen the relevant areas in the body
-
Prevent future reoccurrences

Phase 3: Wellness/Maintenance Care

Wellness/maintenance care refers to ongoing care and support provided to patients to maintain their health and well-being, and prevent future problems from developing. This typically follows the initial intensive care and corrective care phases of chiropractic treatment.
The focus now shifts to maintaining and maximising the patient's potential so that they can live their best quality of life. This will look like periodic treatments, with the frequency dependent on the patients goals and lifestyle habits.
By this stage, patients will be mentored on the components of true Health and Wellness and how to achieve it by thinking, moving and eating well!
